This is the privacy notice of Twirel. In this document, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to Twirel. The below information sets out how Twirel uses and protects the data collected via our website. When using this site, you are legally bound to the following privacy policy, so please read carefully. Privacy protection is something that Twirel are fully committed to. Please note that all data captured and processed by Twirel will be done so in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.

 

We take seriously the protection of your privacy and confidentiality. We understand that all visitors to our website are entitled to know that their personal data will not be used for any purpose unintended by them and will not accidentally fall into the hands of a third party.

We undertake to preserve the confidentiality of all information you provide to us, and hope that you reciprocate.

3.4.1 If you have opted in to receive our newsletters, then this may include tracking codes that help us understand who, as well as how many people have opened or clicked on each email. 3.5.1 Both Google and Facebook re-marketing is a way of reconnecting with users who have previously visited our website. They collate depersonalised data on our website visitors. These platforms can enable us to position targeted adverts to a defined audience when they are browsing other websites. Re-marketing also encompasses the use of emails to reconnect with previous users.

3.6.1 Requests by your web browser to our servers for web pages and other content on our website are recorded.

3.6.2 We record information such as your geographical location, your Internet service provider and your IP address. We also record information about the software you are using to browse our website, such as the type of computer or device and the screen resolution. We use this information in aggregate to assess the popularity of the web pages on our website and how we perform in providing content to you. If combined with other information we know about you from previous visits, the data possibly could be used to identify you personally, even if you are not signed in to our website.

4.1 The Data Controller processes the Data of Users in a proper manner and shall take appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, or unauthorised destruction of the Data.

4.2 The Data processing is carried out using computers and/or IT-enabled tools, following organisational procedures and modes strictly related to the purposes indicated. In addition to the Data Controller, in some cases, the Data may be accessible to certain types of persons in charge, involved with the operation of the site (administration, sales, marketing, legal, system administration) or external parties (such as third-party technical service providers, mail carriers, hosting providers, IT companies, communications agencies) appointed, if necessary, as Data Processors by the Owner. 5.1 Apart from our 3rd party service providers listed above we do not share any other information unless we are obliged to disclose personal data by law, or the disclosure is necessary for purposes of legal proceedings, national security, taxation, or criminal investigation; or where we have your consent; or in relation to a takeover, merger or asset sale of our business.

5.2 The bases on which we process information about you:

5.2.1 The law requires us to determine under which of six defined bases we process different categories of your personal information, and to notify you of the basis for each category.

5.2.2 If a basis on which we process your personal information is no longer relevant then we shall immediately stop processing your data.

5.2.3 If the basis changes then if required by law we shall notify you of the change and of any new basis under which we have determined that we can continue to process your information.

6.3 Under certain circumstances, by law, you have the right to:

6.3.1 Request access to your personal information (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.

6.3.2 Request correction of the personal information that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected.

6.3.3 Request erasure of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal information where you have exercised your right to object to processing (see below).

6.3.4 Object to processing of your personal information where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground and where we do not have compelling legitimate interests to override such objection. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.

6.3.5 Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.

6.3.6 You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal information (or to exercise any of the other rights).

6.3.7 Please be aware that the rights above are not absolute and there may be circumstances where we are unable to comply with your request. In such cases we will explain why we cannot comply with the request.

7.1 We currently hold your data for 44 months to ensure that all of our information on contacts are up to date.

7.2 If you opt-out of any marketing we will retain a record of your data to ensure that you do not receive any future marketing.

7.3 If you have made a deletion request we will still store all of your Personal Data but will be held this as a suppression record to ensure you are not contacted again.

8.1 To prevent unauthorised disclosure or access to your information, we have implemented strong physical and electronic security safeguards. We also follow stringent procedures to ensure we work with all personal data in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.

8.3 We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates to verify our identity to your browser and to encrypt any data you give us.

8.3.1 Whenever information is transferred between us, you can check that it is done so using SSL by looking for a closed padlock symbol or other trust mark in your browser’s URL bar or toolbar.

8.4 You will always have the right to opt-out of receiving marketing from us and we will always ensure that we screen any databases against the Corporate Telephone Preference Service prior to contacting businesses.

9.1 If you send us information in connection with a job application, we may keep it for up to three years in case we decide to contact you at a later date.

9.2 If we employ you, we collect information about you and your work from time to time throughout the period of your employment. This information will be used only for purposes directly relevant to your employment. After your employment has ended, we will keep your file for six years before destroying or deleting it.

10.1 When we receive a complaint, we record all the information you have given to us. We use that information to resolve your complaint.

10.2 If your complaint reasonably requires us to contact some other person, we may decide to give to that other person some of the information contained in your complaint. We do this as infrequently as possible, but it is a matter for our sole discretion as to whether we do give information, and if we do, what that information is.

11.1 We may update this privacy notice from time to time as necessary. The terms that apply to you are those posted here on our website on the day you use our website. We advise you to print a copy for your records.
